5 weather forecast extensions for Google Chrome

Using weather apps on any system is my favorite all time task. Whether it can be a mobile, laptop, or my desktop. Right now also you can find some weather apps shortcuts on the home screen of my Android. So, how could I forget my favorite Chrome? However it’s true that checking weather report on time-to-time basis is a least important task for many of us, especially due to our busy daily routine.


I am sure you will be apologize one day in the future when you will waste hours and hours on some railway station or Airport. Why? “Breaking News! Trains are late due to heavy rain,” Eh, very familiar situation for the people like me who are busy working in Mumbai. Not just in Mumbai, but you will see the same situation in each and every city of the world. But that’s not an issue! We’re talking about finding some cool ways that will help us being aware of such things. Here is the list of some extensions to try out on your Google Chrome:  

Weather: The Weather application will automatically geo locate you when installing, and display the closest city weather forecast. A browser icon indicates the daily forecast and temperature. Get instant geo location and localization, and forecasts in your language you will be able to get a quick access to any of your favorite places, and you will also get some real time notifications on weather changes.

Weather Forecasts: There is no need of taking much efforts. You just have to input a name of the city you want, and you’re done! It will bring you to the subscription to the global meteorological conditions of that particular city. It also provides you the detailed information regarding current meteorological data.

Currently: Currently is a simple Chrome extension that replaces your "New Tab" screen with a new one that shows you the current time and the weather. There is no need of adding any information manually. This smart extension will start serving you the weather reports on a “New Tab” screen right fetching your server’s location.

WeatherSpark: WeatherSpark is a new type of weather reporting system with interactive weather graphs. These weather graphs lets you panning and zooming the entire history of any weather station on earth. You will easily get multiple forecasts for the current location, overlaid on records and averages to put it all in context.

WeatherByte: WeatherByte is a clean and simple weather application that helps you showing current weather and forecast. This extension is based on a simple user interface with a display great compatibility on Computers, Tablets, Google TV, Boxee Box etc.

Beta channel has been updated to 24.0.1312.27

Another rapid update is coming from Google Chrome Releases. We recently posted an update regrading latest stable channel version 23 for Google Chrome browser, and now we have a news about Beta channel development.
