Stable channel has been updated to 23.0.1271.95

According to the recent update the Stable channel of a Google Chrome browser has been updated to 23.0.1271.95 for Windows, Mac, Linux, and ChromeFrame platforms.

We witnessed several security fixes and rewards as mentioned below. You can get your eyes on the Chromium security page for more detail about this update. "Note that the referenced bugs may be kept private until a majority of our users are up to date with the fix," - blog post says.


  • [161564] High CVE-2012-5138: Incorrect file path handling. Credit to Google Chrome Security Team (Jüri Aedla).
  • [$7331] [162835] High CVE-2012-5137: Use-after-free in media source handling. Credit to Pinkie Pie.

Chrome team and experts also congratulated Pinkie Pie for completing a challenge named 64-bit exploit. There's no more details are available about this challenge.

Beta Updated to 23.0.1271.94 for Chrome OS

The Beta channel has been updated to 23.0.1271.94 (Platform version 2913.224.0) for all Chrome OS devices. This build contains a number of stability fixes.
